I'm not sick of this, or anything like it, at all - I've always loved the source, too, and this is my favorite arrangement of Willrock's to date. "God knows where the inspiration for this came from :P All I know is that I decided to remix the ballad of the wind fish, one of my favorite game themes, in a style that I have never tried before (and one that you guys are tbh probably sick of) :P Needless to say, it has taken me a while, but I have done it, and I think it is a little better polished than my previous subs so far." So's Willrock's latest mix, which I was meaning to post yesterday, but got distracted while playing some BioShock & New Super Mario Bros. while the historical foundation/context may have involved a merely temporary collaboration between colonizing and indigenous peoples, the nature of which ultimately ended up going in a much different (tragic) direction, the abstract concept of taking some time to articulate what you're thankful for, and why, seems worthwhile. It’s just fun to watch this guy.Well, happy post-Thanksgiving to all the Americans out there, and happy. See what you think and take my poll below. Basically, if you like this one, there’s a lot more to be discovered. “Stay Crunchy” shows his piano skills “STS9 Collab” is fun, has a great beat, etc, but it’s long for an intro piece the “Rocky Remix” doesn’t show enough of his musical skills…So we decided on this one. This highly electronic, hip-hop-ish music is not in our normal repertoire, but something about Jenkees’ style drew us in.

I don’t normally like this type of music. In an interview, I heard Jenkees say he had just a couple of months of piano lessons as a child, but the teacher gave up on him because he “just wanted to jam, and she wasn’t going to have it.” Well, he’s still jammin’ away, having a big time, selling his cds, and I hope, laughing all the way to the bank. He found Jenkees’ fun version and explored some of his other videos. The original, the authentic, the makin’-it-fun, the owner of many hats, talented Ronald Jenkees was discovered by Marathon when he went to YouTube looking for some pump-you-up Rocky music.
